PARENT INVOLVEMENT TEAMS

Parent Involvement Teams (P.I.T.) have been establish so that everyone can become involved in making the Academy a better place for our children. It is our desire that these committees will allow each of us to serve the Academy in the most effective way and according to our individual interests. Please pray about how you might become involved in the lives of our children.

BUILDING AND GROUNDS

This team considers ways to make the indoor space we share warm and inviting. Outdoors the team is responsible for researching and overseeing details regarding the upgrading of the playground and recreational fields. Interested individuals may also be called on from time to time to handle small maintenance jobs.

CLASSROOM REPRESENTATIVES

This team brings together representatives from each classroom to coordinate parties, assist with special classroom projects and organize periodic staff appreciation activities.

CLASSROOM HELPERS

This team consists of individuals interested in reading to the children, sharing special interests with the children associated with weekly themes and/or assisting with field trips.

FUND-RAISING

This team is responsible for planning and implementing ways in which the canter can raise money for various needs. These needs include playground, computer lab, and library.

OUTREACH

This team is responsible for coordinating meals, sending cards and occasional visits to families enrolled in the center during times of special need.

PUBLIC RELATIONS

This team is responsible for keeping parents, the church and the community abreast of events and activities happening at the Academy by means of (but not limited to) monthly newsletters, bulletin inserts, Power Point presentations and newspaper articles.

SPECIAL EVENTS

This team is responsible for working with the staff to plan, organize and implement special events throughout the year, i.e. Open House, Thanksgiving Feast, Giving Tree, Family Night and K5 Graduation.

Triad Baptist Christian Academy has an “open door” policy and invites and encourages parents to drop in at any time. Stop by and observe your child and our staff in action. We also encourage parent and grandparent participation in our program. However, for the safety of the children and staff, we ask that all visitors and volunteers check-in at the Academy office upon arrival by signing the Visitor’s Book and obtaining a name badge. At the completion of the visit, the visitor or volunteer should return the name badge to the office and sign out. All staff are asked to question individuals who are not wearing a name badge.
